I’ve always tried to make each step of building a knife as accurate and consistent as I possibly can. e.g when I rough in a blade with a 60 grit belt I treat it like thats where I’m stopping. I make sure my plunge lines match up, my grind heights and termination match and the finish is as clean as can be for that that belt. . . . Over a complete build sometimes it seems like it takes longer but even if it does, it works better for me and I spend less time trying to correct errors which is my least favorite thing to do. Working carefully is really just working with care. . . . This Kwaiken is in the pre-finish stage. All of the shaping is done, it’s been test tumbled and assembled and is now ready for final finishes. Looking at this one I was tempted to just leave it as is, unfinished and put an edge on it. Done with Tunas and on to Kwaikens! I Iove doing this grind which is actually pretty convenient given the number I’ve ground over the years. Before anyone asks about my grind handle. Yes It is awesome, no you cannot buy one. I started this account mainly to have a platform for the photos I shot for myself and which didn’t match my other IG’s account. Now almost exactly 10 weeks later I wake up to over 1000 followers. If someone had told me that 10 weeks ago, when I posted my first photo I probably would have laughed at him. But now here we are. I got sucked deep into the world of knives, pens, flash lights and leather work, I got to know incredible makers and modders, but most importantly: I made some amazing friends along the way. This post is longer than my usual ones but I wanted to take the time and thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate everyone that shares this journey with me.
