Bad photo of a good time! I decided to take a day off from social media to spend time with the family after the show but KYCKS was a blast this year. . . . For me the best part of shows is getting to spend time with people. At the end of the day I can stay home if I just want to sell knives. Usually this can be pretty tricky due to the show schedule and time obligations. KYCKS is super fun in this regard as the show itself is only 4 hours but most of us are in town for a couple of days. That means lots of time to just slow down a bit and catch up with everyone. . . . Thanks to everyone who came out to support the makers and thanks for keeping my table exciting. D.A.D minis for kycks coming along nicely. I Love copper and green canvas together. This is about as simple of a knife as you can make. Steel, handle material and fasteners. While I love learning, building fancy pieces and experimenting with new technology, technique and styles- Building knives like this has a grounding effect for me. . . . Some people seem to want to leave their past work behind them and I can fully appreciate the sentiment but I actually really enjoy trying to stay connected with the work that’s allowed me to get to where I am and hopefully where I’m going. . . . #BurnleyKnives #Custom #FixedBlade #Utility #FormInFunction #Roots #MetalWork #Knifemaking #Grateful+
